Exhausted Redditor Asks Why Their Cat is Screaming: Pure Feline-Themed Hilarity Ensues

This week an exasperated cat owner had to turn to Reddit and ask for help, when their adorable little feline just would not stop meowing. Well… maybe meowing is putting it nicely. It seems while this owner loved their cat to bits, the cat was so vocal that the Original Poster (OP) thought something was wrong!

"How do I teach my cat to stop screaming?" was the way that OP phrased it in their post. "Ignoring him just doesn't seem to be working, and I've taken him to the vets but they've said nothing is wrong with him," they continued. I mean, I've had some pretty vocal cats before, but this owner thought his cat was being so vocal, that something might even be wrong! Thankfully, it wasn't. Seems like this cat just likes to talk. But, that didn't solve OP's problem: their cat still won't stop screaming!

Some cats become vocal when they want food, or need their litter changed. I've heard of outdoor cats asking to be let out, and indoor cats meowing that they want the window shades open. But, since OP was being very considerate of their cat's environment, emotions, and well-being, they just could not figure out why their furry little friend wouldn't stop screaming!

So, as we said, they reached out for advice, and they got… well they didn't really get any advice. Almost every comment in this Reddit thread said some variation of the same thing, which you'll see as you continue reading below. Here he is, the screamer in question. He doesn't look so loud, I guess, but neither does a baby until you're sitting next to it on an airplane, right? Maybe that's going too far, but this adorable little kitty was apparently the main offender when it came to OP's ears. Unfortunately, as you'll see if you keep scrolling, it doesn't seem like OP has gotten any relief yet.

What did we tell you? Apparently everyone's cat does the same thing! Practically every comment in this entire thread said: just make it into a conversation! If the cat is talking, they must want to hear what you're thinking! Maybe that sounds crazy at first, but it really isn't a bad way to look at it. I talk to my dogs all the time. And, as this comment pointed out, you can just treat your cat like a friend that wants to complain! Give them some sympathy, and maybe a treat, and everything will be A-Ok!
